Can dependants of a work-permit holder work?
Permission to stay as a dependant and permission to work are separate matters. Dependants admitted on the basis of the principal's status do not gain an automatic right to work; they need an employer and their own work permit application under the normal criteria. Children entering school require a separate process, including certified translations of academic records.
What does the BOI channel change?
Promoted companies can request approved skilled or expert positions through the BOI e-Expert system and complete visa and work permit formalities at the One Stop Service Center.
