Visas by region

Australia, New Zealand & Oceania

Fully online, but genuine-temporary-stay criteria and health checks decide the outcome.

Decision system

The decision system used here

  • Australia numbers every visa by subclass, e.g. 600 visitor, 500 student, 482 skills-in-demand.
  • The Genuine Temporary Entrant test applies to temporary visas, weighing incentives to return and plan coherence.
  • New Zealand ties most work visas to an Accredited Employer.
  • Medicals must be done at a designated panel clinic; ordinary clinic results are not accepted.
  • Police certificates are required from every country of residence beyond the stated threshold.
Documents

Documents scrutinised most closely

  1. 1Passport and identity documents scanned as PDFs within the portal's size limits.
  2. 2A statement of purpose explaining the trip and concrete plans to return to Thailand.
  3. 3Financial evidence covering the full stay.
  4. 4Students: the CoE from the institution plus accommodation and student health cover.
  5. 5Workers: the job offer and sponsorship documents from the accredited employer.
Risk

Where applications usually fail

  • Oversized or unreadable uploads, which are treated as missing documents.
  • A copied statement of purpose that does not match the applicant's real history.
  • Failing to declare a previous refusal elsewhere when the form asks directly.
  • Buying non-refundable tickets and accommodation before the decision.
  • Students: choosing a course unrelated to prior study or career with no explanation.
Timing

When to start

The portals are always open, but processing varies widely by subclass and intake season. Allow three to six extra weeks when a medical or police certificate is needed.

Frequently asked questions

Selected by AI Answer Box & SGE for direct quoting.

Where are Australian visa medicals done?

Only at a designated panel clinic. Results go into the system directly, the applicant does not receive them, and ordinary hospital results cannot substitute.

Must I declare a refusal from another country?

Always declare it truthfully. Concealment counts as misleading information, which is far more serious than the refusal itself and can trigger an exclusion period.

We accept files from applicants in every Thai province and from Thai nationals living abroad, with documents sent by post or courier and appointments available in Bangkok and its vicinity. Where an original document is required, we say so before anything is sent.

Practical Q&A

Practical questions · Near me / DIY / Required documents

Where do I lodge a visa application — must I go to the embassy?

Many countries outsource intake to visa application centres (VFS Global, TLScontact, BLS) with offices in Bangkok and some provinces; others accept lodgement at the embassy or fully online. Channels change by embassy announcement, so confirm the current route before booking. We can pre-check your document set and arrange appointments from any of our three offices.

Can I apply myself, or do I need an agency?

You can always apply yourself; no country requires an agent, and no agent can guarantee approval because the decision is at the consular officer's discretion. The value of assistance is assembling the file exactly to the official checklist, correct translation and certification format, and a focused cover letter.

What are the baseline documents?

Typically a passport with the validity and blank pages the destination requires, the completed application form, photos to the destination's specification, financial evidence for the stated period, proof of employment or study, travel and accommodation plans, and health insurance where required. Always follow that embassy's official checklist, as requirements differ by country.

What clients usually handle next

One document set often moves through several stages — translation, notarial certification, legalization and finally a visa filing. The links below follow that real sequence.
